Privacy Policy
How The Life Equity Group LLC handles information across our website, policy marketplace, forms, scheduling tools, and requested follow-up.
This policy applies to thelifeequitygroup.com, marketplace.thelifeequitygroup.com, our Life Equity gateway links, and information submitted to Life Equity through connected forms, Calendly, email, or requested conversations. Third-party websites and independent professionals have their own privacy practices.
Information you provide
We may receive information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, professional role, company, appointment preferences, application responses, scheduling responses, correspondence, and other details needed to respond to a request.
Please do not submit medical or health information, policy-owner or insured information, Social Security numbers, banking information, tax records, underwriting materials, or other sensitive information through the public website, marketplace, scheduling fields, or ordinary email.
Browsing, security, and attribution
Squarespace, Cloudflare, OpenAI Sites, and related infrastructure may process network address, device and browser details, timestamps, requested pages, referring pages, error events, and other standard technical information needed to deliver and secure the services. Squarespace may use its short-lived crumb security cookie. Cloudflare may place necessary security cookies, including the short-lived __cf_bm bot-management cookie, before the marketplace access check is completed.
Our main website stores first-visit source, referral, and UTM labels in browser session storage under leg_attribution_v1. That information may be appended to a Calendly link so we can understand which Life Equity page led to a requested meeting. Session storage ordinarily ends when the browser tab or session is closed.
Our Life Equity gateway records limited view, click, and return events—such as page path, destination, link or disclosure label, UTM labels, and a random referral reference—to measure whether educational links work and to troubleshoot broken journeys. Gateway telemetry is retained for up to 90 days. The site may also send equivalent events to its analytics data layer.
Marketplace access and policy data
The marketplace access gate does not request your identity. To limit automated abuse, it uses Cloudflare Turnstile and short-lived counters derived from a keyed, one-way digest of the network address supplied by Cloudflare. The raw address is not stored in the marketplace database. Access and rate-limit records are eligible for deletion after about 60 minutes. A successful check creates a short-lived anonymous access cookie; a one-way hash of its random identifier protects the upstream policy feed.
The public marketplace displays a restricted set of case-level fields supplied by Life Policy Market. It is designed not to display policy-owner or insured names, birth dates, medical information, contact details, banking information, tax information, or underwriting documents.
How we use information
- Deliver, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the website and marketplace.
- Respond to applications, messages, meeting requests, and other actions you initiate.
- Coordinate requested introductions or follow-up with independent professionals and authorized marketplace participants.
- Understand source attribution, improve educational journeys, and detect abuse.
- Protect visitors, Life Equity, and service providers, and comply with applicable obligations.
Life Equity does not use this information for automated eligibility, suitability, underwriting, or transaction decisions, or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Providers and disclosures
We use providers that support hosting, security, communications, scheduling, and recordkeeping, including Squarespace, Cloudflare, OpenAI Sites, Calendly, Airtable, email and meeting providers, and Life Policy Market for marketplace listing data. They process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
When you ask us to arrange a meeting or introduction, relevant information may be shared with the independent professional, Life Policy Market, or another authorized participant needed to prepare for that requested conversation. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or service integrity. We do not disclose information collected through these surfaces for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and protection
Cloudflare’s bot-management cookie ordinarily expires after about 30 minutes of inactivity; marketplace access and rate-limit records are eligible for deletion after about 60 minutes; and gateway telemetry is retained for up to 90 days. Application, scheduling, Airtable, email, and correspondence records are kept while we respond to the request and coordinate the requested relationship, and afterward only while reasonably needed for documented business, security, dispute, legal, tax, or compliance purposes. We periodically review those records and delete or de-identify them when they are no longer needed, subject to provider controls and legal holds.
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service, storage system, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may browse the main site without applying, leave the marketplace without completing its access check, decline optional scheduling fields, and contact us about information you submitted. Where applicable law provides access, correction, deletion, appeal, or opt-out rights, we will evaluate a verified request and respond as required by that law. We may retain information where permitted or required by law.
The site does not change its behavior in response to a browser “Do Not Track” setting because it does not use browsing information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If applicable law requires a response to a recognized universal opt-out signal, we will honor that requirement. Our hosting, security, scheduling, and data providers may process information over time and across the services they operate under their own notices.
Children
Our services are intended for adults and professional audiences and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Scheduling a conversation, submitting an application, or taking steps toward a transaction is limited to adults who can legally enter an agreement.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and effective date here. If a change materially expands collection, use, or disclosure, we will provide additional notice before it takes effect where applicable law requires it.
